Heathrow Terminals: Which Terminal Is My Airline?
Heathrow has four terminals — 2, 3, 4 and 5 (Terminal 1 closed in 2015). British Airways flies from Terminal 5; Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, American and Delta from Terminal 3; Star Alliance airlines (United, Lufthansa, Singapore, Turkish) from Terminal 2; and Qatar, Etihad, Air France and KLM from Terminal 4.

Pick-up, drop-off and the £7 charge
Drop-off costs £7
Every terminal forecourt charges £7 per visit (since 1 January 2026), 10-minute maximum, enforced by number-plate cameras. Pay online by 11:59pm the next day. Booked with us? It's handled by the driver and included in your fixed fare.
Where pick-up actually is
The Short Stay car parks are the official pick-up points (about 2 minutes from arrivals). Long Stay is free for the first 30 minutes. Terminal 4 also sells a camera-enforced "Priority Pick-Up" zone from £7 — see our T4 pick-up guide.
Where your driver meets you
Pre-booked Airport Only drivers wait inside the arrivals hall of your terminal with a name board — flight tracked, 60 minutes of free waiting, no forecourt dashes or car-park fees to think about.
Between terminals: travel free on the Elizabeth line and Heathrow Express between Heathrow Central (T2 & 3), T4 and T5, or use the free transfer buses — allow 15–20 minutes. T2 & 3 share the Heathrow Central station; T4 and T5 have their own.

Which terminal is British Airways at Heathrow?
British Airways operates all of its Heathrow flights from Terminal 5 (with some short-haul flights boarding at the T5B and T5C satellite buildings). Iberia also uses Terminal 5.
Which terminal is Emirates at Heathrow?
Emirates operates from Heathrow Terminal 3, alongside Virgin Atlantic, American Airlines, Delta, Cathay Pacific, Qantas and Japan Airlines.
Is there still a Terminal 1 at Heathrow?
No — Terminal 1 closed in 2015. Heathrow operates Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5. A rough rule of thumb: T2 is Star Alliance, T3 is oneworld plus Virgin Atlantic and Emirates, T4 is SkyTeam and Gulf carriers, and T5 is British Airways.
Where is pick-up at Heathrow Terminal 4?
The designated pick-up point for Terminal 4 is the Short Stay car park, about two minutes’ walk from the arrivals hall. Terminal 4 also has a paid "Priority Pick-Up" zone (from £7 for up to 10 minutes, camera-enforced), and a free option in Zone A of the Park & Ride car park. A pre-booked meet & greet driver avoids all of this — they park and wait for you inside arrivals.
How much is the Heathrow drop-off charge?
Since 1 January 2026 the terminal drop-off charge is £7 per visit, with a maximum stay of 10 minutes. Number-plate cameras record every vehicle and payment is due by 11:59pm the following day. With a pre-booked transfer the charge is handled by your driver and included in the fixed fare.
Can I pick someone up for free at Heathrow?
Yes — the Long Stay car parks are free for the first 30 minutes, and at Terminal 4 Zone A of the Park & Ride is free for short pick-ups. There is no free stopping on terminal forecourts, which are camera-enforced.
How do I get between Heathrow terminals?
